Some 10,402 customers benefited from the smart vehicle impound service in the custody of its owner instead of impound it in the impound area, starting from the launch of the service from the application of smart vehicle reservation service since May 2019 and comes as part of the efforts of Abu Dhabi Police to upgrade the services of customers to best practices.
The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols of Abu Dhabi Police invited drivers to take advantage of the smart impound service for vehicles through the website, which allows them to book their vehicles in their homes or choose the right place for them and under their responsibility anywhere in the country, allowing them to take care of the vehicle and operate it to ensure its safety from the damage of the long stop, and can use the vehicle in emergency situations after taking official approval where it is monitored at the driving center and control when moving to any location.
It confirmed that the smart impound service for vehicles is available in all service centers and the happiness of customers in the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols in Abu Dhabi and the external areas and the area of Al Ain and Al Dhafra area, for the amount of AED 15 for each impound day, as can be applied to the service through the website of Abu Dhabi Police, as well as the possibility of requesting the distinctive service, in which the competent technician is visited to the site of the customer and the vehicle is to be found in it for an additional fee for the distinctive service.
The smart impound device is based on advanced technology electronically linked to the control room to send signals when violating the home impound of vehicles and to ensure that the impound vehicle does not move during the impound period in the specified locations.
Smart service includes all types of light and heavy vehicles, trucks and buses as well as the majority of traffic violations available to take advantage of the smart vehicle impound service.
